What it is
A calendar lays the days out like a wall calendar: one square per day, weeks as columns.
It shows rhythm at a glance: runs of net buying, a selling week, a single outsized day.
Each square is coloured toward the buying side or the selling side, in 4 steps each way, with a neutral middle for zero. A day with no stored row is an empty outline, never a zero.
What goes into it
1
The steps break at the 40th, 70th, 90th percentiles of the days' sizes (zeros and gaps left out), one set for both sides, so a step means the same size either way and only the biggest tenth of days reach the deepest colour.
2
On a card the calendar fits its box: square cells sized from the width and height it has, as a strip or as month pages.
3
The DEX netflow card's Calendar view uses it for the daily net flow, with a key from selling to buying.
How to read it
HighShape, not data

RisingShape, not data

FallingShape, not data
Columns warming toward the selling side.
Evidence in the data, never advice
Common pitfalls
The steps are relative to the window's own days, so the same colour on two tokens can mean very different dollars.
An empty outline is a missing day, not a quiet one.
