Questions
How and when are payouts made?
Commissions collect in your ledger on your affiliate dashboard. Once they clear the holding period, they go on a payout report that a person at Blocktronics reviews, then sends by hand in stablecoins to your payout wallet. Nothing is paid automatically, and every payout is recorded with its transaction hash. The minimum payout and the schedule are to be announced.
Are commissions paid in credits?
No. Commissions are always paid in dollars, as stablecoins to your payout wallet. Credits you have on Blocktronics are a separate thing, for using the data.
What is the holding period?
Each commission waits for a while before it can be paid, so a refunded payment can be taken back before anything goes out. A refund during that time cancels the commission; a refund after a payout is netted off the next one. How long it is will be announced with the rates.
Can I refer myself?
No. Signing in through your own link with your own wallet, or with a wallet you have set as your payout wallet, never counts. Many sign-ups from one network in a short time are held for review rather than paid automatically.
Which wallet gets paid?
The wallet you sign in with, unless you choose another on your affiliate dashboard. Changing it takes a signed message from your sign-in wallet, so nobody else can redirect your payouts. A signature costs nothing and moves nothing.
How does someone count as mine?
Your link sets a first-party cookie on this site for 60 days by default; if they follow someone else's link later, the latest link counts. When they sign in with a wallet for the first time, they are linked to you for good. They see who invited them. The cookie is only used for the program, and the draft terms describe it.
I write research. Is there something for me?
Yes: the researcher programme. Approved researchers use Blocktronics free, publish with live charts, and their handle becomes their referral link (/r/your-handle), with the same share of what their readers pay.
What about tax?
You're responsible for the tax on what you earn where you live. Any identity checks or reporting thresholds for larger payouts are still being decided, and will be in the terms before payouts start.
