What it is
D1% answers how much it takes to move the price: how many dollars move the price 1%, measured when the token is graded.
The read carries it in dollars, the same figure in basis points of the market cap, and the grade's depth pillar: a score from 0 to 100 against the depth typical for a token of this market cap.
The card puts the token on a chart of every graded token: D1% against market cap, both on log scales, so a token sits above the cloud when it is deeper than its size suggests.
What goes into it
- 1
D1% is measured at grading and stored with the grade.
- 2
Basis points of the market cap restate it against size.
basis points of cap = D1% ÷ market cap × 10,000 - 3
The fleet is every snapshot token that carries both figures; the score's spread comes from the same snapshot.
How to read it
- High
- Deep for its size: larger positions can move in and out near the current price.
- Low
- Shallow for its size: a modest order moves the price.
- Rising
- Depth improved at the latest grading.
- Falling
- Depth thinned at the latest grading.
Evidence in the data, never advice
Common pitfalls
- It is measured at grading, not continuously: the as-of day is the grade's.
- A token that barely trades can lack a reading and have no figure; that is a gap, not zero depth.
